In 2009, Dr. Nippert was commissioned as an officer in the Army Dental Corps. He served as Chief of Orthodontics in the 1 year Advanced General Dentistry program at Fort Campbell, KY. In addition to his role in the AGD program, he served as staff orthodontist for personnel at Fort Campbell, Fort Knox and Redstone Arsenal. Lieutenant Colonel Nippert resigned his commission in 2013 to return to Ohio and private practice. Dr. Nippert is a Board Certified Orthodontist.

What does it mean to be a Board Certified Orthodontist?
A board certified orthodontist is an orthodontist who has voluntarily gone through hundreds of additional hours of preparation to demonstrate their judgment, skills and knowledge required for providing the highest level of patient care. They have achieved board certification through the American Board of Orthodontics, the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association and in affiliation with the American Association of Orthodontists.
An orthodontist is a dentist who has not only completed a graduate program in dentistry to receive their DDS or DMD (Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Dental Medicine), but has also gone through a competitive residency at a CODA-accredited orthodontic program for an additional 2-3 years to be trained specifically in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. Achieving board certification is the last step in a long and intensive educational experience to ultimately provide excellent patient care.
Janet - Dental Assistant
Janet has been a chair side dental assistant in both general practice and orthodontics. Her dental career spans 32 years. She says one of the most enjoyable parts of her work is building relationships with patients and families. Janet says, "It is great to see children of patients that we have treated, but it makes me think that I might be getting old."
Janet is a lifelong Holmes County resident and resides in Millersburg with her husband, Brian. Janet and Brian are "empty nesters". Their two daughters, Tricia and Kala, settled east of Ohio. Tricia lives in Connecticut and works as part of the administrative staff in retail food sales. Kala and her husband, Marine Sergeant Jeremy, currently reside in North Carolina.
In their spare time, Janet and Brian enjoy traveling to see their daughters. Janet enjoys reading, walking, and crafting.
